Agata Bzdyń

Media Presence

I frequently serve as an expert for both Polish and international media outlets. My media appearances focus on groundbreaking human rights cases, constitutional matters, and significant legal developments.

EXPERTISE AND PRACTICE AREAS

Although the media often focuses primarily on socially engaged cases, as a lawyer, I handle a wide spectrum of matters: from civil and criminal law, through family law, to business law. My main interest lies in international and domestic litigation, but I also provide advice and assistance during negotiations and mediations.

I have extensive experience in cases involving violations of personal rights, hate crimes, discrimination as well as extradition.

I do not categorize cases as better or worse—each is equally important to me, and in every case, I ensure compliance with international standards for legal protection.

Client Testimonials

Google Reviews

She's such an objective, efficient, and intellectually skilled person that you rarely come across. What's crucial for me is that Agata not only has excellent knowledge of the law, but even better understands how to use it effectively - something I often found lacking in my previous experiences with lawyers. She genuinely fights for her clients. She can win cases where others give up or expect years of proceedings. Throughout it all, she remains very concrete, speaking directly about how the situation stands.

Ms. Agata handled both my labor court case and criminal case over three years of cooperation. It was my first experience with court and a legal counsel. When it comes to Ms. Agata, I highly recommend her. She explains everything thoroughly, offers guidance, and is very active in court.

Terms & Conditions

I conduct my practice in accordance with universally applicable legal regulations and the Code of Ethics for Attorneys-at-Law, which was developed to ensure a high level of legal services and foster trust between clients and the law firm.

I engage in discussions with my clients about their expectations and challenges. My opinions are not limited to quoting laws or theoretical considerations; instead, they involve analyzing the situation and legal framework while proposing the most beneficial solutions for my clients.

Amberlo Access

We provide each client with access to their case files through an individual account in the amberlo.io document cloud system. Through your amberlo.io account, you can view all activities and tasks performed in your cases, download all documents in a PDF format, as well as check working time reports and invoices issued to you.

Legal Fees

I offer a flexible billing approach tailored to each client's needs. Fees and payment methods are always arranged individually.

Typically, my fees are structured as:
- Hourly rate
- Fixed fee for service
- Capped fee arrangement

The final fee is always determined by considering several factors:
- Required workload
- Specialized expertise and skills needed
- Relevant experience required
- Case complexity and difficulty
- Precedent and unusual nature of a case
- Location and timing of service delivery
- Any special conditions requested by clients
- Case significance for the client
- Professional liability involved
- Opportunity costs
- Nature of the client relationship

Hourly Rate

The hourly rate includes activities such as:
- Reading and analyzing case documents, including time spent organizing documents when clients provide unstructured or non-chronological materials
- In-person/online meetings and phone calls with clients to clarify case details, provide updates, and prepare for court hearings
- Drafting and revising pre-trial and trial documents
- Preparing and sending legal documents via regular mail
- Reviewing court files in person or examining scanned documents provided by the client

The main advantage of hourly billing is its transparency - clients know exactly what activities they're paying for. For lengthy court disputes, hourly billing has an advantage over flat fees because payment is based on monthly activity reports. This means clients don't have to pay a large lump sum upfront for the entire proceedings. This approach helps reduce or eliminate financial barriers to accessing professional legal representation, making services more accessible to clients with limited financial resources.

Flat Fee

Under a flat fee arrangement, the client pays the entire fee upfront for the agreed legal services. This fee covers all necessary activities required to properly handle the client's case. Flat fees are paid once, not in monthly cycles like hourly rates.

If the agreement is terminated and services end early, the client is not entitled to any refund of the flat fee.

Capped Fee:
This billing method is used for regular business clients who need ongoing legal services. It combines the benefits of both billing methods discussed above.

Under this arrangement, clients with ongoing legal service agreements pay a monthly flat fee for a specified number of working hours.

For example, we might agree that a client needs 10 hours of legal services monthly at 350 PLN + 23% VAT (430.50 PLN gross) per hour, with any hours beyond the 10-hour limit billed at 400 PLN + 23% VAT. The client would pay 3500 PLN + 23% VAT (4305 PLN gross) monthly for the 10-hour package, plus any additional fees for work beyond the hour limit.
